9/9 Obviously there has been some big changes to the site over the weekend. The lovely Lauz has made us a skin exclusive to Topsy Turvy. However, with that we have a lot of changes we must complete. Avatar sizes are slightly different and there are addition mini profile fields to fill out. I know it's a bit of a pain in getting everything set up now, espeically for those of us who are character whores, but once it's all complete it's going to look amazing. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask any one of us admins. We're always here to help. Also if you catch any bugs with the site PLEASE don't hesitate to let me know we I can work on a solution quickly. Thanks. <3
Welcome to our fun little corner of the internet. We are a Disney Personified site set in the port city of New Orleans, Louisiana, where the residents never cease to surprise you. While no one yet remembers who they are they are starting to have strange powers pop up and complicate their lives. The closest thing any one has been able to figure is that they started to make their appearance shortly after the city was struck by a massive earthquake. Some search for answers. Other try to suppress and harness their powers before it consumes them. There's even those that strive to take the power of others for themselves. The question is, what will happen next?
We have a freeform application and a 300+ word count, though we strongly encourage matching post length. Please be sure to check out our rules and plot before registering. We ask that you register your character's first name, middle initial, and last name in the proper case like so: First M. Last. Don't hesitate to pop into the cbox to say hi or ask any questions. We don't bite. ;)
Our skin was made exclusively for Topsy Turvy by the ever amazing Lauz. All site templates were made by the equally as amazing Vanessa. Thank you to them both for sharing their talent with us to make the site look like what it does. <3
Before you decide to continue through the site, please make it a point to stop and read over the rules and plot! That will give you a bit more insight on what is happening so that you don't just jump ship without knowing what is taking place. Once that is taken care of you may proceed with creating your new baby
If you wish to know what is going on - if any current site plots happen to be taking place- step inside and check it out. We enjoy keeping things as interesting as possible with everyone's characters so keep an eye out!
Do you have a suggestion for something you'd like to see on the site? Or maybe a question about something you don't understand? Come on in here and post those and an admin or member will get back to you. Also located here is the character moderation board. Do you have a thread you've finished and would like moved? Or maybe a character you're just not feeling anymore. Just post them here and we will clean everything up.
Yay! You have read through the plot and rules I presume? If so come on in and let the magic begin! Inside sits your application template and Canon list. Feel free to ask any questions! We, the administration team, are always willing to help no matter what.(;
Now that you have made it through the applications process and all of our nonsense, you need to make sure you fill out all of the claims so that no one finds themselves confused nor angered. And, plus, it helps out.
Family member, group, friends - whatever it may be - toss up an ad! Someone is sure to pick them up in no time. We do our best to update this regularly so please let us know if something has slipped through the cracks. We ask that you please don't repeatedly bump ads unless there has been changes. If they're still here we know they are still very much wanted.
Here within the City Limits Withholds all the major businesses. From the Hospital all the way to City Hall. If you are wishing to visit a loved one behind the lovely steel bars, then you will also find the police department and such inside- along with various others.
Also known as the Arts District this area of uptown is alive with activities celebrating the arts. Museums such as the Contemporary Arts Center and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art can be found in the Warehouse District as well as dozens of art galleries. It also houses many of the illegal activities unknown to the authorities.
Who wants to be cooped up all day when there is so much to see and so many places to venture? Why not take a break at the beach and walk along just to enjoy mother nature at her finest. Or maybe even a lovely bike ride through the woods? Wherever you wish to venture, here is the place to do so.
Now this is the place to be when you want to spend quality time with the family, or perhaps even a date. This little slot right here happens to be the nightlife. Movies, Put-Put golf, bowling, arcade- you name it!
UoNO is the only thing that brings people from outside of town. Why else would you stop here? The college is known for its medical degrees because the hospital is one of the few places that will actually pay rent. If you're an outcast and picked another major... good luck.
It's the day for breaking rulesIt's the day for breaking rules
The Garden District happens to be the righteous side of town. The side where the upper class lives out their upscale lives drinking their wine and conversing over the development involving their massive businesses and so on and so forth. Although most of the community is gated, that still doesn't keep many out.
Removed from the glitzy neon lights and blaring cover music of Bourbon Street is a compact musical district where the locals hang out. Frenchmen Street is just walking distance away from Bourbon and the French Quarter. Its most popular section is a two-block stretch in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood, which is known for its wide variety of live music on any given night of the week!
The French Quarter, or Vieux Carré is the oldest neighborhood in the city captures much of what makes New Orleans unique. From the energetic party vibe of Bourbon Street to the bohemian elegance of Royal Street. It's a neighborhood full of entertainment and surprises.
The cultural heart of New Orleans Tremé, sometimes known by it's formal name Faubourg Tremé, is not only America's oldest black neighborhood but historically the site of numerous significant events which have shaped the course of events in the community for the past two centuries. The Tremé is still one of the major hotbeds for live music in New Orleans. This neighborhood invented jazz, and today it is still dotted with underground music clubs.
Here's where you can introduce yourself to everyone once you're accepted, talk about anything you like, request graphics, post any absences we ought to know about or even just play some games with other members.
If you want to unwind and still interact with other characters then take a gander at our games board. It’s a place where characters can icly interact without worrying over ruined plots. It's also a good place to learn more about your character and others through personality games!
